A mom is someone who’ll love you no matter what
without having sentences that always end with but.
She listens and gives you room to grow,
and when it’s time she lets you go.
No matter how it hurts inside
she makes herself accept its time.
A mom doesn’t know the word hate
she accepts all your mistakes.
She goes along even if she disagrees
accepting even what’s against all she believes.
No matter how wrong she’ll still love you
that’s what you stand for, and "I love you too”.
No matter how bad I mess up you’ll always be there
even if two different lives in are minds we share.
I know we’ll always think differently,
but inside we’ll always be connected inseparably.
As I get older I understand you more
I think inside sometimes we feel the same war.
Events from the past can sometimes be hard to forget,
but we try to move on, and show no regret.
So in a lot of ways we’re the same
nothing except the wrong place in history to blame.
I guess some people are always in the right place at the right time
leaving us a long up hill climb.
Someday we’ll be at the top
when the ball is in our hands we won’t be stopped.
So I feel sorry for people who are used to things going there way,
because when it’s our turn luck will be ours tomorrow and today.
