Consumed In Worries So here I sit worried again don’t know where you’re at or where you’ve been? I called the bar at my usual 12am, and you’re not there…This isn’t fair!! It’s 1am and I can’t find you I haven’t received a call to say you made it too. Why don’t you think of me when you’re gone? If I knew you were okay time wouldn’t feel so long. I’m listening to the second hand on the clock every minute leaving my mind blocked. Why couldn’t you think of me just this once? So my mind could stop this scavenger hunt. I love you so much, and I’m so excited by your touch. Yet you’re still hurting me inside my old wounds resurfacing. I can’t handle the bar being your favorite escape I can’t deal with alcoholism at any rate. You need it so much…Why? 4 nights a week…You think I don’t cry? 1 night is bad enough, but to go to 4 on my heart is tough. To you it’s nothing except a get away, and a few harmless drinks for me it’s resurfacing memories. How can I finish healing? When you in a bar scene is all I’m feeling. You’ve come a long way, and I grow prouder of you everyday. The bar isn’t something I can overcome my scar’s run to deep to forget some. Just need you to want to be here to us this isn’t fair. Do you realize your children only get about 8 hours a week? Only 32 hours a month or less…There hurting. They ask why is he going to the bar? I’m thinking I haven’t found an answer myself so far. All they have is Sat., and they’re lucky they have that. I just want us to stay a family, and for you to stop the drinking. If 1 night out is not enough then it’s time to pull the alcohol plug. Please care enough to pull your own plug we’re waiting with lots of love. |
